TISAC
The purpose of TISAC is to provide a well-rounded program of both sports and cultural activities for participating schools. Our desire is to provide guidelines that will achieve recognized educational objectives and provide an enjoyable activities program for all participants. We strive to provide an opportunity to involve as many students as possible; therefore TISAC's goal is to organize activities in a wide range of categories, including: sports, cultural, and workshop events. Schools may participate in any or all of the sporting and cultural events as long as they have a team or participating group for that sport or activity once they have become an official member of the organization.
BIS has thoroughly enjoyed being an active member of the TISAC organization. TISAC has provided our students with a very friendly and supportive environment where students from all ages have been able to participate in a wide variety of sports and cultural activities in cooperation with a wide variety of international schools around Bangkok. They have had the tremendous privilege of meeting and becoming friends with other young people from many different cultural and ethnic backgrounds studying in many other international schools through the variety of TISAC activities that take place throughout the year. TISAC's major goals are stated as follows:
AIMS
The TISAC Programs aim to help young people develop:
" Physically, by learning sports skills, improving physical conditioning
" Good health habits and avoid injuries
" Psychologically, by learning to control emotions and develop feelings of self-worth.
" Socially, by learning how to co-operate in a competitive context and by learning appropriate
standards of behavior.
