English as a Foreign Language (EFL)

BCIS has set up an English as a Foreign Language (EFL) program to meet the needs of newly accepted students who are non-native English speakers and have beginner level English skills. Our EFL program focuses on academic English, the language skills students need in order to study and learn all core academic subjects: language arts, math, science, and social studies.  Our goal is to move EFL students into mainstream academic classes with their peers as soon as possible.

There are three levels of EFL at BCIS:

* EFL 1 (for students in grades 1-3)

* EFL 2 (for students in grades 4-6)

* EFL3 (for students in grades 6-9)
